Rep. Johnson Showcases Tourism in Ohio
State Representative Mark Johnson (R-Chillicothe) today announced that Ohio’s tourism industry welcomed over 240 million visitors in 2024, supporting thousands of local businesses and attractions across the state, generating over $57 billion in revenue, according to the Ohio Department of Development.
“We are truly the most blessed area of Ohio for tourism, come see America’s best outdoor drama, Tecumseh! I promise you will not be disappointed,” said Rep. Johnson. “We are the home of by far, Ohio’s best and most beautiful state parks from Hocking Hills, Lake Hope to Scioto Trails along with our two National Parks, Ohio’s own World Heritage site Hopewell Mound Group or hike the Buckeye Trail in the Wayne National Park near the village of Shawnee!”
From national parks and historical monuments to beloved local restaurants, wineries, museums, and more, Ohio offers an incredible variety of destinations for visitors from near and far.

- Wayne National Forest – Ohio’s only national forest, with over 240,000 acres in Southeastern Ohio.
