State Representative Mark Johnson is currently serving his first term as State Representative for the 92nd Ohio house district, which includes Fayette County as well as portions of Pickaway of Ross Counties. He serves as the Vice-Chairman of the House Commerce and Labor Committee and as a member of the House Infrastructure and Rural Development Committee and the House Transportation and Public Safety Committee.
Rep. Johnson is currently the Business Manager for the Tri-State Building and Construction Trades Council where he oversees 33 counties across 3 states and represents about 20,000 construction workers.
Prior to serving as Business Manager, he served as Construction Superintendent for a large Columbus-area contractor where he remained for 17 years. During his tenure, he oversaw the building and construction of several downtown Columbus buildings, including the Vern Riffe Center where he and his colleagues now work. In his spare time, he enjoys taking his Harley Davidson out for road trips.
Rep. Johnson also manages the Tri-State LEAD Program (Leader Education and Development Program), a program that provides on-site random drug testing services and a broad array of Occupational Safety and Health Association safety training classes.
Rep. Johnson resides in Chillicothe, Ohio’s first capitol, and attends St. Mary’s church where he serves as the Parish Council Chairman. Rep. Johnson is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus and in the area rotary.
