Rep. Deeter Showcases Tourism in Ohio

Over $57 Billion in Visitor-Generated Economic Impact in 2024

State Representative Kellie Deeter (R-Norwalk) today announced that Ohio’s tourism industry welcomed over 240 million visitors in 2024, supporting thousands of local businesses and attractions across the state, generating over $57 billion in revenue, according to the Ohio Department of Development. 

“Tourism is a crucial part of my district’s economy year in and year out. Therefore, it is something I will continue to support during my time in Columbus,” said Deeter.

From national parks and historical monuments to beloved local restaurants, wineries, museums, and more, Ohio offers an incredible variety of destinations for visitors from near and far. 

Representative Deeter is proud to highlight a few notable tourism destinations and community favorites in her district:

Norwalk:

  • Betty’s Homestead – Local historical place for visitors to stay while in Norwalk.
    North Coast Inland Trail – A beautiful 28-mile multi-use trail that travels between Elmore and Bellevue.

Vermillion:

  • Main Street Vermillion ­- "Small Town on a Great Lake" where you can sightsee, shop and dine as well as sit on a beach, get in a kayak, on a boat and more.
  • Vermillion Valley Vineyards – A beautiful winery with live music and Ohio wines. 

Oberlin:

  • Allen Memorial Art Museum – Located in the small college town of Oberlin.
  • Firelands Association for the Visual Arts – An independent, nonprofit art organization in downtown Oberlin.
