Kellie Deeter Biography

Representative Kellie Deeter serves the people of House District 54

State Representative Kellie Deeter is serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 54th Ohio House District, which encompasses all of Huron County as well as Rochester, Wellington, LaGrange, Eaton Estates, Avon and portions of North Ridgeville in Lorain County.

Born and raised in Huron County, Rep. Deeter continues to live, work, and raise her own family in the 54th Ohio House District. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Marysville University of St. Louis, a master's degree from the University of Akron, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from BGSU in consortium with the Medical College of Ohio, which is now the University of Toledo Medica Center. She is dually certified as a Nurse Anesthetist and a Nurse Practitioner.

Along with her extensive educational background, Rep. Deeter is also a member of the Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists (OSANA) and member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA). As a member of OSANA, she served on the board for eight years, as President for one term, as Treasurer for one term, and as Director of State Government Relations for nearly a decade. As a member of AANA, she served on the organization’s Finance Committee for one term.

In her professional capacity, Rep. Deeter is the owner of Firelands Anesthesia, serving hospitals and surgery centers with anesthesia providers and actively practices as well.

Representative Deeter and her husband Keven have six children and reside in Norwalk. They are members of St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk.
