COLUMBUS – State Representatives Johnathan Newman (R-Troy) and Ty Mathews (R-Findlay) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Concurrent Resolution 23 – legislation recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States Army, Chaplain Corps.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed legislation to designate the fourth Thursday of January as NASA Day of Remembrance, announced State Representative Johnathan Newman (R-Troy). 

State Representative Johnathan Newman (R-Troy) today voted in support of House Concurrent Resolution 20 - legislation honoring the distinguished service of the men and women of the United Sates Navy and the 250th anniversary of its founding. The resolution, as passed by the Ohio House, recognizes the establishment of the United States Navy on October 13, 1775, its contribution to national defense, and Ohio’s deep naval history.

State Representative Johnathan Newman (R-Troy) attended the White House State Leadership Conference last week alongside more than 50 Ohio lawmakers and other officials. The conference was organized by the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to foster collaboration and communication between federal, state and local governments, while providing a forum to discuss shared priorities, policies, and more.
