Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio House of Representatives today voted to not concur on Senate amendments to HB33, the State’s main operating budget, announced Representative Jamie Callender (R-Concord). 

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio House of Representatives yesterday unanimously passed House Bill 61, declaring November 19th as James A. Garfield Day, announced joint sponsors Representative Jamie Callender (R- Concord) and Representative Dan Troy (D- Willowick). This vote came after unanimous passage by the House State and Local Government Committee back in March.

The vote on HB 33 comes after 4 months of hearings, amendments, and input from constituents regarding how the state should spend its money over the next two fiscal years. Among the major proposals in the House Budget are a $1 billion dollar tax cut, the largest increase in state support for K-12 education in Ohio’s history, and continued investment in career technical training. 

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio House Finance Committee adopted an omnibus amendment package for HB33, the state operating budget, this afternoon and favorably reported HB33 for a vote from the full House, announced State Representative Jamie Callender (R-Concord). This omnibus amendment package comes after an additional week of hearings following the adoption of substitute HB33 on April 18, 2023. 

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio House Finance Committee adopted substitute House Bill 33 this morning, announced Representative Callender (R-Concord). This adoption comes after three months of hearings, both by the full finance committee and sub committees focused on individual sections of the 4311 page bill. While no earmarks or district projects where included in the substitute bill, several projects impacting Lake County and North East Ohio where included in the legislation.
