Workman Sworn in to Serve Ohio's 72nd House District

COLUMBUS – State Representative Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) took the oath of office Monday to begin her first term as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 72nd House District, which encompasses most of Portage County.

“It’s a great honor to receive the trust of my district to serve in this capacity,” said Workman. “My goal is simple: to empower our communities through self-governance, support local businesses, and lower taxes so families can keep more of their hard-earned money. By prioritizing safety and prosperity for all Ohioans, I look forward to better, brighter days ahead.”

Workman is a small business owner with a background in corporate marketing, healthcare, and national political activism.

Workman and her husband, Jim, have been married 13 years and have four children. 

Monday’s session marked the beginning of the 136th General Assembly.
