Rep. Workman Encourages Public Comment on E-Check Proposal
COLUMBUS — State Representative Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) is encouraging residents to submit public comments on a proposed change to Ohio’s E-Check program.
The Ohio EPA is currently accepting feedback on the E-Check Ease Act, which aims to give drivers more flexibility in meeting vehicle emissions requirements.
Under the proposal, drivers would be allowed to use an alternative emissions certificate instead of going through traditional E-Check testing. The Ohio EPA will collect public input and then send the plan to the U.S. EPA for review and possible approval.
Public comments can be emailed to DAPC-Comments@epa.ohio.gov through June 2, 2025.
“Now is the time to share your thoughts on giving drivers the option to self-report their E-Check compliance,” said Workman. “This is your chance to speak up and help shape a more reasonable and flexible approach for Northeast Ohio.”
