Rep. Workman Attends White House State Leadership Conference
State Representative Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) attended the White House State Leadership Conference this week alongside more than 50 Ohio lawmakers and other officials. The conference was organized by the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to foster collaboration and communication between federal, state and local governments, while providing a forum to discuss shared priorities, policies, and more.
“It was an honor to represent Portage County at the White House State Leadership Conference for Ohio legislators. These conversations are critical to ensuring our state’s voice is heard on issues ranging from economic growth to public health,” said Workman. “I look forward to bringing back what I learned to strengthen partnerships and deliver results for Ohioans.”
Rep. Workman had the opportunity to discuss Ohio’s priorities with senior officials in the Trump Administration. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and other policy advisors provided policy updates on education, E-Check regulations, and the safety of our communities among many other topics.
