The second round of body-worn camera grant applications is live, and State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) is encouraging Wood County law enforcement agencies to take advantage of this funding opportunity. 

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari, R-Perrysburg, administered the oath of office to newly promoted Colonel Charles “Chuck” Jones during a ceremony Thursday at the Patrol’s Academy in Columbus. Jones, who began his career with the Patrol in 1994 as a graduate of 126th Academy Class, becomes the Patrol’s 20th Superintendent after being appointed following the retirement of Col. Richard S. Fambro.

State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari, R-Perrysburg, testified Tuesday during the sentencing of Graig Lamont Gibson by Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew L. Reger. Gibson, 32, was indicted Jan. 20 by a grand jury on six felony charges and four misdemeanors resulting from a New Year’s Day incident on State Route 25, which occurred during a ride along by Ghanbari with The Ohio State Highway Patrol. 

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) announces nearly $350,000 for local school safety and security made possible through legislation he advocated for to enhance school security in Wood County and across the state. The funding, stemming from House Bill 687 which Ghanbari co-sponsored, included $100 million for this grant program.

LAKE TOWNSHIP –State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) announced the dedication of the Lake Township Veterans Memorial Highway during a ceremony Monday at the Lake Township Administration Offices. The newly dedicated road between Tracy Road and North Fostoria Road on state Route 795 was named in honor of those that have served in the Armed Forces. 

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) supported $500,000 in funding coming to Wood County through the Ohio Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program. Awards for the first phase of the program were just recently announced.

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) is encouraging eligible Ohio residents to take advantage of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles new online driver’s license renewal option that was rolled out Monday. 

Ohio House Bill 206, authored by State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg), was signed into law by Gov. Mike DeWine Friday during a ceremony at the Statehouse in Columbus. 

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) delivered the keynote address during the American Legion Department of Ohio’s Buckeye Boys State ceremony Wednesday on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The eight-day experience allows young men to learn about city, county and state government through a non-partisan and objective education approach.
