Ohio House Passes Bill Clarifying Driver's Training Law for Military Personnel

COLUMBUS, OH –State Representatives Bernie Willis (R-Springfield) and Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek) today announced that House Bill 434 passed through the Ohio House of Representatives. The bill updates adult limited term driver’s license application requirements, strengthening training for limited-term license applicants while easing restrictions for military-affiliated individuals.

Representatives Newman and Willis Urge President Trump to Consider Ohio for Drone Protection Funds

State Representatives Johnathan Newman (R-Troy) and Bernie Willis (R-Springfield) today announced that they submitted a letter of support urging President Trump to consider Ohio as one of the first states to receive federal funding outlined in Executive Order 14305 “Restoring American Airspace Sovereignty.”

Ohio House of Representatives Pass House Bill 3

State Representative Bernie Willis (R-Springfield) is pleased to announce that the Ohio House of Representatives today passed House Bill 3 – the "School Bus Safety Act," which establishes new measures to enhance school bus safety, increase penalties for violations, provide grant funding for schools to apply for equipment specific to their school’s needs, and educate the public about school bus-related laws.

Willis, Williams Legislation to Curb Violent Crime Passes House

COLUMBUS – State Representatives Bernie Willis (R-Springfield) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.) legislation to increase the penalty for the use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime has passed the Ohio House Wednesday. This legislation increases penalties for the most dangerous offenders in Ohio’s communities without changing any gun laws that would affect law-abiding gun owners.

Rep. McClain, Willis Introduce H.J.R. 2 to Rein in Federal Power with Convention of States Resolution

State Representatives Riordan McClain (R- Upper Sandusky) and Bernie Willis (R-Springfield) recently introduced House Joint Resolution 2 (H.J.R. 2), which calls for Ohio to join the convention of states with the goal of limiting the power and jurisdiction of the Federal Government and discussing the issue of term limits for officials and members of Congress.
