Ghanbari Issues Statement on Governor DeWine's Veto of House Bill 68
COLUMBUS, Ohio — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) released the following statement Friday regarding Governor DeWine’s veto of Substitute House Bill 68:
“I’m disappointed the Governor has vetoed Substitute House Bill 68. His failure to support the legislature’s efforts to protect our children and ensure that females can compete on a level playing field, not against biological males, is both frustrating and disheartening,” Ghanbari said. “I voted for the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act on June 21, 2023. Due to a medical emergency, I was not in attendance for the concurrence vote of the Senate changes Dec. 13, 2023; however, I look forward to working with House leadership and will once again stand up for our children by voting to override his veto at the earliest opportunity.”
