Ghanbari Announces More than $1.1 Million in Funding for Wood County
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) announced Thursday more than $1.1 million has been awarded to projects in Wood County, including improvements to public safety and library facilities at Bowling Green State University, improvements to the Ohio National Guard’s Walbridge Armory, and the Chessie Circle Trail Project. The State Controlling Board approved the measure during Monday’s meeting.
“These funds will help protect and educate the students of BGSU, improve facilities for those serving locally in the Army National Guard, and improves our public spaces for everyone to enjoy,” Ghanbari said.
The approved items for Wood County include:
$239,300.63 to Bowling Green State University (BGSU) for the Campus Safety Grant Program;
$331,205 for improvements to the Bowling Green State University library book depository;
$98,700 for improvements at the Ohio National Guard Walbridge Armory;
$500,000 for the Chessie Circle Trail project.
The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for January 29, 2024.
