Rep. Jarrells sworn in for 134th General Assembly
State Rep. Dontavius Jarrells (D-Columbus) took the oath of office during the opening session of the 134th Ohio General Assembly (GA) at the Ohio Statehouse Monday, officially beginning Jarrells’ first term as state representative for the 25th District.
“When I first walked into the Ohio Statehouse as a Legislative Commission Fellow in 2010, I could not have imagined I’d be walking back ten years later as a State Representative.
Since day one, I’ve been committed to building a better Ohio for all of us.
It’s in Ohio where no one is unseen, unheard, or uninspired. Where everyone has access to high paying careers, not just jobs. An Ohio where a child’s zip code doesn’t determine the quality of education. Now, it’s time to turn that commitment into action. From testifying on bills in committees to writing to the Governor, it’s going to take all of us.
Together, we’re going to build an Ohio we all deserve,” said Rep. Jarrells.
