Democracy Prevails as Ohioans Defeat Issue 1

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Dontavius Jarrells (D-Columbus) is praising the citizens of Ohio for their overwhelming support in defeating Issue 1 during the August 8th Special Election.

“I could not be prouder of my fellow Ohioans for protecting our Democracy and standing up for what they believe in. Our state is unwavering in its commitment to uphold the freedom of our citizens to shape their own futures,” said Rep. Jarrells. “There is still a lot of work to be done, both in the Statehouse and in the ballot box, but the voice of the people will always ring louder than anyone who tries to muffle it.”
