COLUMBUS –State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) today passed House Bill 151 on the house floor after many months of work to allow more flexibility for our young educators. 

COLUMBUS – State Representatives Don Jones (R-Freeport) and Jay Edwards (R-Nelsonville) announced today the State Controlling Board has approved the release of $147,600.00 for improving campus safety on the Washington State Community College Campus in Marietta, Washington County.

COLUMBUS –State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) supported House Bill 337 with a vote on the Ohio House floor, which appropriates additional funding to the Office of Budget and Management to disburse to local governments in accordance with the American Rescue Plan Act.

COLUMBUS - The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $445,158 to Belmont College in St. Clairsville, Ohio, for the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Training program. 

COLUMBUS – The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $150,919 for the Arts and Science building envelope renovation project in Marietta, Washington County.

COLUMBUS –State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) highlights Belmont County receiving funding as a part of the new Ohio Brownfield Remediation Program.

COLUMBUS –State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) supported legislation with a vote on the Ohio House floor to memorialize highways and bridges around the state. Two of these dedications will occur in the 95th Ohio House District. 

COLUMBUS –State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) and Adam Bird (R-New Richmond) today passed House Bill 583 out of the Ohio House of Representatives, legislation that intends to make changes to the Ohio Revised Code regarding educator licenses for substitute teachers, to establish a study committee on the substitute teacher shortage, and to make an appropriation.

COLUMBUS –State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) supported legislation with a vote on the Ohio House floor that would allow law-abiding Ohioans to carry a concealed handgun without a permit. The measure was been approved by the Ohio House of Representatives.

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Fair will return in 2022. State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) and the Ohio Expositions Commission announced Friday the state fair will return to full operations July 27- Aug. 7.
