COLUMBUS – State Reps. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati) and Darnell Brewer (D-Cleveland) today gave sponsor testimony before the Ohio House Health Provider Services Committee on House Bill (HB) 188, legislation that would designate the second full week in June as Ohio Nursing Assistants Week.

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) and joint sponsor Rep. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati) celebrated the unanimous passage of House Bill (HB) 188 out of Health Provider Services Committee. This legislation would designate the second full week in June as Ohio Nursing Assistants Week.

COLUMBUS – Ohio House Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and State Representative Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) today released the following statements regarding the Ohio Supreme Court’s ruling, mostly upholding misleading Issue 1 ballot language authored by Republican politicians:

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today announced over $14,500 has been allocated for mosquito control in Cuyahoga County. The funding will help mitigate the spread of mosquito-borne viruses such as Zika, West Nile, and La Crosse Encephalitis.

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) and State Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) Wednesday submitted a filing with the Ohio Supreme Court detailing the alleged legal malpractice of Attorney General Dave Yost and overtly partisan behavior of the Ballot Board chair Secretary of State Frank LaRose concerning each party’s conduct with the Citizens Not Politicians legal matter.

Antonio (D-Lakewood) today sent a letter to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost detailing his blatant disregard for the legal rights of the minority members of the Ohio Ballot Board— Rep. Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) and Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) —who broke with the majority of Ballot Board members and voted against Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s deceptive and misleading ballot summary language for the Citizens Not Politicians constitutional amendment, Issue 1.
