Rep. Darnell T. Brewer Announces $500,000 to Construct a New All-Purpose, Shared Use Trail

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) released the following statement today on the City of Garfield Heights, Garfield Boulevard Trail receiving $500,000 from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources:

“We thank The Ohio Department of Natural Resources for its announcement of Clean Ohio Trail Fund grant recipients. The money for the City of Garfield Heights, Garfield Boulevard Trail will help to protect and improve an important habitat and provide a corridor for people and wildlife,” said Rep. Brewer. “We know communities with trails that provide enjoyable and safe options help improve our air and water quality.”

The trail will create a critical connection between the Towpath Trail and Cleveland Metroparks' Garfield Park Reservation.
