Rep. Brewer Issues Statement on Attorney General Yost's Increased Transparency of Police Announcement

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today commends Attorney General Yost for the new police transparency announcement.

“I commend Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost in announcing increased transparency for police officers in Ohio. But there is more work to be done. The option of the public records portion, which will now list the reasons for officers' separation, will hopefully keep cops on our streets and communities and bad actors from continuing to patrol our streets. I also commend the many agency chiefs, county sheriffs, and advocacy groups in pushing for transparency in policing in Ohio.” said Rep. Brewer.
