Rep. Brewer Applauds the Efforts of Community Residents to Regain their Neighborhood Financial Institution
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Brewer (D-Cleveland) commends the community for rallying together and helping bring back a local bank.
"Power to the people: when neighborhoods, residents, community members, leaders, and partners speak up, change is bound to happen. This is the case in the Huntington Bank to reopen the Huntington Branch on Buckeye Road in Cleveland, Ohio. Local voices and advocacy of Councilwoman Gray, Local activists Bob Render, Charles Bromley, former Cleveland City Council President- Jay Westbrook, Tamara Chappell, Greg Groves, Meg Weingart, Mary Boyle, Julian Khan, and his organization called “A Greater Buckeye,” along with Michael Chopra of Black Valve Media and other members of Save the Buckeye Huntington Bank Branch Committee members should be applauded for their efforts. When residents come together, we all win. One Person makes a difference, but together, we make a change, and this reopening of the Huntington Branch is a prime example." said Rep. Brewer.
