Rep. Brewer Announces $8M in Grants for Energy Efficiency Retrofits, Including Two District 18 Projects

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today announced that The Jennings Center for Older Adults and The Olympia Building will both receive a $250K grant award.

“I am elated that these neighborhood projects got these much-needed grants to help both facilities upgrade their energy efficiency. The Jennings Center for Older Adults funding will be used to complete lighting and high-efficiency chiller upgrades. In the Olympia Building, the allocation will complete building envelope energy upgrades. As we all continue in the fight for our planet in the battle of climate change, steps like this are needed to preserve our planet,” said Rep. Brewer.
