House Bill 188 Passes in Ohio House
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives Wednesday passed House Bill 188. Jointly sponsored by Rep. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati), the legislation would designate the second full week in June as Ohio Nursing Assistants Week.
"House Bill 188 would recognize Ohio's nursing assistants- STNA, Direct Care Workers, and those others who dedicate their lives to the well-being of others in Ohio for a full week in June. We hope this will shine a light on the role of healthcare workers who perform everyday living tasks and care for the elderly, chronically ill, or rehabilitation patients in Ohio who cannot care for themselves. week will showcase how invaluable they are to their patients. I look forward to the progress of the bill moving forward" said Rep. Brewer.
