COLUMBUS — State Reps. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington), Juanita Brent (D- Cleveland), Ashley Bryant Bailey (D-Cincinnati), and Eric Synenberg (D-Beachwood) today called on Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose to oppose a recently finalized federal rule that could disrupt the delivery of absentee ballots through the United States Postal Service ahead of the November 3 general election.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) issued the following statement after the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) approved a $306 million settlement last Wednesday that would require FirstEnergy to refund customers that were improperly charged.

Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) announced today that the state Controlling Board approved several items of note this week, including the allocation of $202 million from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) for the Home Energy Assistance Weatherization Program, helping Ohio's low to moderate-income families and seniors with their energy bills.

COLUMBUS — Ohio House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) today released the following statement regarding yesterday’s 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in National Republican Senatorial Committee v. Federal Election Commission. This case began in Ohio when then-U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance and the Republican Senate campaign committee challenged a federal law limiting how much political parties can spend in coordination with their own candidates.

COLUMBUS — Ohio House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) today released the following statement regarding the U.S. Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling in Trump v. Barbara. This case arose from President Trump’s day-one executive order which declared hundreds of thousands of people born in the United States every year were no longer citizens by birth.

Troy at their 2021 conference for his continued work on improving senior citizen services funding and elder justice issues.

COLUMBUS— In a letter to Gov. Mike DeWine, Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) has requested the deployment of the Ohio National Guard to assist the Painesville City School District and other local school districts with transportation needs.

COLUMBUS — Reps. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) and Bill Seitz (R-Cincinnati) today introduced bipartisan legislation protecting Ohio's growing senior population from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The bill improves current elder abuse reporting laws by establishing a mechanism for levying and enforcing penalties upon those who knowingly fail to report instances of abuse, neglect, and exploitation against senior citizens.
