Ohio Democrats Introduce Fair, Constitutional Congressional Map

COLUMBUS - House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) and Senate Democratic Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) today introduced legislation putting forth the fairest congressional redistricting proposal in recent years. Democrats are introducing their redistricting plan now to comply with Ohio’s September 30 deadline for the General Assembly to pass a bipartisan map.

Ohio Democrats Encourage Ohioans to Submit Congressional Maps to Public Portal, Make Voices Heard

COLUMBUS – Ohio House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) and Senate Democratic Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate has opened a public submissions portal where citizens can now submit their own congressional maps to be considered during the upcoming redistricting process. Leader Isaacsohn: Republicans' Veto Override Leaves Local Communities Holding the Bag, Still No Real Property Relief for Majority of Ohioans

COLUMBUS – House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) today voted “NO” on the vote to override a school district property tax levy restriction provision vetoed in House Bill 96 (the state operating budget). Line-item 66 would eliminate several types of levies, limiting the choices voters have in how to support their schools and local governments, and would not provide real property tax relief to Ohioans. Real property tax relief is one of the most pressing needs for everyday Ohioans. House Democrats are ready and willing to work together to get that done.
