Statement from State Rep. Cindy Abrams

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) today issued the following statement:

“In my life, every time I have raised my right hand to take an oath, that oath is a solemn oath that I take very seriously. I strive to be a dedicated public servant and commit to always doing the right thing.

In light of recent events, the Ohio House of Representatives took action today to remove Larry Householder as Speaker. This is an important step forward in restoring public trust and renewing our commitment to serve Ohioans with integrity.

Bob Cupp is a principled and honorable public servant, and I was proud to vote for him for Speaker today. Now more than ever, our legislative body must be united to effectively confront the myriad of issues we face today. I look forward to working with Speaker Cupp to address Ohio’s current and future challenges.

My priority has always been serving my constituents and doing the right thing. I am proud of the work Team Abrams has accomplished in our first 10 months in office. We will continue to work hard for all Ohioans, be accessible, listen to our constituents and make decisions that will make Ohio the best state to live, work and play.”
