Abrams Celebrates Transitional Housing Facilities Coming to Cincinnati
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) today announced that significant funding for transitional housing for NewPath Child and Family Solutions in Cincinnati was approved by the Ohio State Controlling Board.
“This funding will have a significant positive impact for children struggling with mental illness and behavioral issues,” Abrams said. “I look forward to the development of these facilities so they can continue making a difference in our community.”
In the 134th General Assembly, Abrams supported House Bill 687, the state capital budget, which is funding the construction of these buildings. NewPath Child and Family Solutions will use these homes to provide housing and supportive services to youth transitioning out of foster care who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness.
NewPath Child and Family Solutions is set to receive $750,000 in funding.
