Rep. Glassburn Announces Ranking Member Assignment for House Energy Committee
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Chris Glassburn (D-North Olmsted) today announced that he has been assigned as ranking member for the House Energy Committee for the 136th General Assembly. The House Energy Committee is the second largest committee in the Ohio House of Representatives.
“I am excited to work on energy problems impacting our state. Ohioans deserve affordable and reliable energy to power our homes and economy,” said Rep. Glassburn. “My thanks to Leader Russo for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading the Democrats of the House Energy Committee.”
The House Energy Committee will be focused on the work of grid reliability, energy generation, and consumer protection.
Rep. Glassburn announced his other committee assignments, including:
- House Finance Committee
- House Development Committee
- House Public Insurance & Pensions
“My top priorities are property tax relief and reducing the cost of living. It is an honor to be appointed to the committees that most directly address these issues,” said Rep. Glassburn. “The upcoming state operating budget is a serious undertaking, and as a Finance Committee Member, I am committed to doing everything within my power to create a fair budget that looks out for all Ohioans.”
Rep. Glassburn was one of two freshmen members and the only Democratic freshman member selected to the House Finance Committee.
