Rep. Glassburn Announces $94.7K for Little Clague Park Renovations

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Chris Glassburn (D-North Olmsted) today announced that the State Controlling Board approved $94.7K to fund Little Clague Park improvements in North Olmsted. The funding will be used to purchase new inclusive playground equipment, make renovations to the pavilion, and construct park pathways.
“Bringing our dollars back from Columbus matters. Our taxpayers deserve to see their dollars work in their own community,” said Rep. Glassburn. “This is the final major piece missing from Little Clague Park. It’s a valuable recreational space for families and community members to enjoy; the state’s investment ensures we are able to finish the project keep North Olmsted a great place to live.”
These funds were released through the Department of Natural Resources NatureWorks grant program, which provides reimbursement assistance for local municipalities for the acquisition, development, and rehabilitation of recreational areas. The $94.7K investment from the state for the Little Clague Park will have a significant positive impact on the North Olmsted community. Improvements will enhance the park’s accessibility, usability, and recreational offerings. This appropriation demonstrates a valuable state-local partnership focused on the development of public recreation areas.
The city of North Olmsted has already invested in the Little Clague Park to install permanent restroom facilities and to complete the walking path loop that goes around the park. These improvements represent a significant investment in the quality of life for North Olmsted residents by providing a modern, well-maintained outdoor space for healthy activity and enjoying time together.
