Post Roe, dangerous Ohio law that criminalizes health care and women's freedom already taking effect

COLUMBUS— Ohio House Democrats and Democratic Leader Allison Russo (D- Upper Arlington) today issued the following statement regarding Ohio’s six-week abortion ban, which was given the go-ahead by a federal judge today after a three-year injunction on the Ohio Republican-passed law:

“Turning women’s health into a political and legal playground and making abortion a crime will drive away leading businesses, good jobs and widespread economic prosperity for all Ohioans.

“Republicans imposing their own cruel and extreme political views on the state will make Ohio a dangerous and insecure place to put down roots, start a family and have a good quality of life.
