COLUMBUS - House Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) today announced that the Controlling Board has approved Monday the release of more than $15M in state funds to support renovations at The Ohio State University.

“The Ohio State University has been a beacon of excellence in Ohio for more than 150 years,” said Leader Russo. “With this approved funding, Ohio State will be able to accommodate modern classrooms while maintaining the integrity and history of this legacy building.”

One of the oldest buildings on campus, Campbell Hall boasts more than one hundred years of Ohio State history. However, its aging infrastructure and outdated facilities have not been able to keep up with the demands of modern instruction.

Totaling $61.2M in state, university, and private funds, Campbell Hall will undergo renovations to teaching and research laboratories, and replace aging roofing, windows, and building systems to significantly improve the performance and efficiency of the building.
