Rep. Sweeney Announces $3.7M in Brownfield Remediation Awards for Cuyahoga County

 

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) today announced Cuyahoga County has been awarded an additional $3.7M in funding through the Brownfield Remediation Program, for a total of $48.2M in 2024. Brownfield funding helps clean up and redevelop hazardous sites, creating new economic and employment opportunities.

Rep. Sweeney Announces $4.2M for Greater Cleveland RTA

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) last week announced that $4.2M in state funding has been awarded to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) by the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) Urban Transit Program. The funds are appropriated from the FY 2024-2025 Transportation Budget, which Rep. Sweeney helped pass as Ranking Member of the House Finance Committee.

Rep. Sweeney Announces $1M for Gun Violence Prevention in Cuyahoga County

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) today announced nearly $1M in federal funding has been awarded for initiatives in Cuyahoga County aimed at combating gun violence. The federal funding has been made available through the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Byrne State Crisis Intervention Plan (SCIP) with appropriations from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022.
