COLUMBUS, OH – State Rep. Adam Mathews (R-Lebanon) issued the following statement in response to the Ohio House voting to override the Governor’s veto of HB 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act:

“From Aristotle to Aquinas, we are directed to promote and love the good, the beautiful, and the true. Instead, the Governor’s veto enables and empowers harm, disfigurement, and a lie deeply at odds with human anthropology. I proudly co-sponsored and voted for HB 68, and I am glad that the Ohio House voted to override the veto and put the safety of Ohio’s children first.” 

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed House Bill 272, legislation that will give local governments the permissive authority to expand concealed carry access. The measure was spearheaded by State Reps. Adam Mathews (R-Lebanon) and Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).
