COLUMBUS, OH – State Rep. Adam Mathews (R-Lebanon) issued the following statement in response to the Ohio House voting to override the Governor’s veto of HB 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act:
“From Aristotle to Aquinas, we are directed to promote and love the good, the beautiful, and the true. Instead, the Governor’s veto enables and empowers harm, disfigurement, and a lie deeply at odds with human anthropology. I proudly co-sponsored and voted for HB 68, and I am glad that the Ohio House voted to override the veto and put the safety of Ohio’s children first.”
