Representative Holmes Chairs OAATC Virtual Meeting

COLUMBUS – State Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport) chaired a virtual meeting of the Ohio Aerospace & Aviation Technology Committee on Thursday, hearing from industry leaders on workforce shortfalls they are currently experiencing or anticipate in coming years.

“Identifying and measuring the future needs of the aviation and aerospace sectors is a top priority for this Committeee,” Holmes said, “It is inspiring to see so many dedicated, knowledgeable people come together to discuss this issue.”

The Committee heard testimony from the following speakers:

• Joe DeRamo, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics
• Jeff Gruber, Columbus State Community College
• Amy Meyer, Rhinestahl
• Brett Doudican, Greene County Career Center

Holmes concluded the meeting by emphasizing the importance of building the Committee’s network within the industries it represents and said he hopes their next meeting can be an in-person event.
