Holmes to Chair Ohio Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee

COLUMBUS – State Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport) this week was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee for the 135th General Assembly. 

“Over the years, I have been dedicated to increasing access to health care and making the overall process of attaining that access simpler,” Holmes said. “It is an immense honor to serve both Chambers and create real solutions to Medicaid issues in Ohio.”

The Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee (JMOC) consists of five State Senators and five State Representatives and provides continuing oversight of all facets of the state's Medicaid program. The committee oversees Medicaid compliance, evaluates legislation for long-term impact on Medicaid, and assists in limiting the rate of spending growth, while improving quality of care and health outcomes for individuals enrolled in the state's Medicaid program.
