Holmes to Chair Newly Created Committee
COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) appointed State Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport) Tuesday to chair the newly created House Aviation and Aerospace Committee.
“The aerospace industry is an emerging market that is likely to become more a part of our daily lives,” said Holmes. “I am honored to be appointed to the Aviation and Aerospace Committee where I hope we can help craft sound legislation to put Ohio in a good position to be an industry leader in this sector.”
Holmes spent more than 27 years in the Marine Corps as an aviator. His experience includes more than 40 combat missions supporting missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom and 3,000 flight hours supporting crisis response missions around the world.
“Rep. Holmes has the background and unique skillset to help in this committee,” said Stephens. “I am confident in his ability to use his expertise to produce strong policies for Ohio.”
