Holmes Announces $500,000 to Mental Health Services in District
COLUMBUS – The state Controlling Board last week released $500,000 for Muskingum Behavioral Health, a partner agency of the Muskingum Area Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services, announced State Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport).
According to its website, Muskingum Behavioral Health offers compassionate and effective counseling, prevention and recovery services along with Medication-Assisted Treatment programs and reliable recovery housing. Muskingum Behavioral Health offers the following comprehensive services: alcohol and substance counseling, prevention for alcohol and substance abuse, mental health counseling, recovery housing, intensive outpatient program and gambling addiction rehab.
“Muskingum Behavioral Health is an asset to our community. The establishment empowers individuals to develop skills and habits to live a healthy lifestyle while supporting long-term recovery for those who need it,” said Holmes. “I applaud the Controlling Board for granting Muskingum Behavioral Health these funds to support mental health and recovery services in the 97th House District.”
The $500,000 comes from the state’s Community Assistance Projects fund.
