Now that school is out for the summer, children can look forward to more fun and free time outdoors. It is easy to think of the summer months as a carefree and simple time for all, but that is just not the case for some families in our state. Food insecurity is a sad reality and serious problem for many children.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed legislation that updates various laws pertaining to voter registration, as well as procedures for casting, processing and reviewing in-person absentee ballots.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Mike Henne (R-Clayton) today unveiled a plan for overhauling Ohio’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to better serve the state’s workforce. The plan includes rebranding the workers’ compensation agency as the Office of Employee Safety and Rehabilitation.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House today voted to expand sexual misconduct protections by extending the penalties for certain acts of sexual misconduct, including pandering nudity-oriented or sexually obscene materials, to apply for instances when victims are elderly or mentally disabled.
