State Rep. Greenspan Applauds Governor's Signing of Driver's License Reinstatement Fee Amnesty Bill

COLUMBUS - Legislation sponsored by State Representatives Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake) and John Barnes (D-Cleveland), which helps decrease the high number of Ohioans with suspended driver’s licenses, was signed recently by Governor Kasich. House Bill 336 creates a short-term program intended to help indigent Ohioans who are unable to afford the reinstatement fee or fines that they have accrued throughout their license suspension. According to bill sponsors, many of these individuals continue to drive, risking further financial repercussion for either themselves or other drivers on the road.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Rick Carfagna (R-Genoa Township) participated in a press conference today announcing free access to LinkedIn’s online professional skills learning platform, Lynda.com (Lynda), though Ohio’s public libraries for all citizens in the state of Ohio with a library card.

Ohio House Approves State Rep. Anielski Bill Providing Additional Suicide Prevention Efforts in Ohio Schools


COLUMBUS—State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) applauded the Ohio House for unanimously passing House Bill 502. Rep. Anielski sponsored that legislation that would further improves suicide prevention efforts in schools by requiring public school employees to undergo training in youth suicide awareness and prevention programs once every two years. The two hour curriculums are FREE via online training, DVD’s, or in person. Under the legislation, school personnel also earn Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).
