COLUMBUS -  State Rep. Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) today announced the passage of Senate Bill 450, the state's biennial capital appropriations budget. The bill allocates nearly $4B for the maintenance, renovation, and construction of state-owned infrastructure, including colleges, universities, school districts, and other community projects.

 
 
Good faith compromise reinforces Issue 2 language, promotes safety for Ohio's children

Speaker of the Ohio House Matt Huffman (R-Lima) today announced that legislation updating Ohio’s marijuana laws and addressing the issue of intoxicating hemp passed with bipartisan support through the Ohio House of Representatives. Senate Bill 56 preserves the legal, adult-use marijuana provisions approved by voters in Issue 2 in 2023, while also adding needed protections for Ohio’s children.
