State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg), Chairman of the Ohio House Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee, issues the following statement on the passing of fellow veteran Hershel Woodrow Williams; Decorated Marine and last surviving Medal of Honor Recipient from World War II:

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) spearheaded House Bill 377 as one of the primary sponsors, which was signed into law on Tuesday. The bill includes $422 million in funding to the Office of Budget and Management to disburse to local governments in accordance with the American Rescue Plan Act. 

Ohio House Bill 206, authored by State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg), was signed into law by Gov. Mike DeWine Friday during a ceremony at the Statehouse in Columbus. 

State Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) spearheaded and was the primary sponsor of House Bill 99, which was signed into law on Monday by Gov. Mike DeWine. The reformative bill focuses on school gun and safety training. Hall joined the governor at the Department of Public Safety for the bill signing.

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces bipartisan legislation addressing the opioid crisis was approved by the General Assembly on Wednesday. The legislation, under House Bill 193, requires Schedule II prescriptions to be completed electronically. Pavliga is a joint sponsor of the bill alongside State Rep. Al Cutrona.

State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) and State Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-Huron) presented the Ohio Military Medal of Distinction to three Gold Star Families during an Ohio legislative ceremony at the Statehouse Friday in conjunction with Memorial Day. 

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) spearheaded legislation establishing a suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline, which unanimously passed through the Ohio House Wednesday. Pavliga, the sponsor of the bill, spoke to it on the House floor today.
