Legislation to help address the foster care crisis in Ohio has been approved by the Ohio House of Representatives, State Representatives Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) and Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) announced today.

Sarah Fowler-Arthur (R-Geneva-on-the-Lake) and State Reps. Adam C. Miller (D-Columbus) introduced bipartisan legislation that would require schools to file a report with the Ohio Department of Education regarding teachers who retire under threat of investigation for misconduct. Under current law, schools are only required to report when a teacher resigns under threat of termination or nonrenewal of a contract while under investigation.  

 
 
'These monopolized Big Tech platforms should not have the power to dictate what they deem as acceptable speech, that's exactly why we have the First Amendment and why I'm introducing this legislation,' Cutrona added.

State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) will be introducing legislation that prohibits social media platforms from censoring users when they are expressing themselves unless it is in violation of state or federal law. The bill’s purpose is to prevent Big Tech companies from banning, blocking or discriminating against citizens based on ideological beliefs or viewpoints.
