LISBON–State Representatives Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) highlighted the important of Domestic Violence Awareness month while speaking at a community event in Lisbon this week.

The Ohio House of Representatives this week passed legislation to encourage students in grades one through twelve to read the Declaration of Independence in the classroom during the 2025–2026 school year in recognition of its 250th anniversary, announced State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland).

State Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) yesterday voted in support of House Concurrent Resolution 23 – legislation recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States Army, Chaplain Corps.

COLUMBUS —State Representative Jeff LaRe (R–Violet Township) today announced that House Bill 316 has passed through the Ohio House of Representatives. The bill honors the life and military service of Master Sergeant Norman Michael Kilbarger by designating a portion of Chillicothe Lancaster Road in Fairfield County as the “MSGT Norman Michael Kilbarger Memorial Highway.”

On Wednesday, Governor John Kasich signed into law two bills sponsored by State Representative Bob Cupp (R-Lima). HB 432 updates probate laws and provides procedures for access to social media accounts and other digital assets of the deceased. HB 436 fixes an inconsistency in state law regarding OVI license suspension and offender vehicle mobilization.

During this week’s Ohio House session, Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) was sworn in to his final term in the Ohio House of Representatives. Rosenberger represents the 91st District, which includes all of Clinton, Highland and Pike counties and parts of Ross County.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) today was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives and as the Assistant Majority Whip for the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 81st Ohio House District, which includes Putnam, Henry and Williams counties, as well as part of Fulton County.
