COLUMBUS—State Reps. Jeff LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) and D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) today introduced legislation that will prohibit municipalities from implementing curfews with certain exceptions. 

State Rep. Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) today announced that six local public water systems will receive grants to help pay for equipment needed to maintain and improve drinking water infrastructure.

COLUMBUS – State Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) today responded to a new public interest audit from Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber identifying continued shortcomings in Ohio’s Medicaid eligibility verification process.

Scioto County Republican Justin Pizzulli has been sworn in to fill the unexpired term for the 90th House District seat, which was previously held by Brian Baldridge (R-Winchester). 

COLUMBUS—State Representative Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) is pleased to be selected by the Council of State Governments (CSG) as one of 47 public servants for the 2026 class of the CSG Henry Toll Fellowship. The fellows represent 32 states and U.S. territories and all three branches of state government. 

State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) is pleased to announce that the Village of Leesville in Carroll County has been awarded $197,700 through the Ohio Department of Transportation's (ODOT) Safe Routes to School program. The funding is part of an $8.8 million statewide investment announced this month by Governor Mike DeWine and ODOT Director Pamela Boratyn to help students walk and bike to school more safely.

State Representative Meredith Craig (R-Smithville) today announced that the City of Wooster will receive $750,000 through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), which awards communities to improve safety for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
