Rep. Brewer's Bipartisan House Bill 393 Passes the Ohio General Assembly
Legislation that expands state ID program to community-based correctional facilities heads to Governor's desk
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 393 out of the Ohio House with a concurrence vote of 78-0. This bipartisan legislation requires community-based correctional facilities and programs to assist individuals in custody in obtaining a state-issued identification card prior to their release. An amendment to include halfway houses was added in the Senate.
