Young Appointed as Chair of Workforce, Higher Education Committee

COLUMBUS – State Representative Tom Young (R-Washington Twp.) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) as Chair of the House Workforce and Higher Education Committee for the 136th General Assembly. 

“I’m honored Speaker Huffman has asked me to lead the Workforce and Higher Education Committee again,” said Young. “In the previous general assembly, the Higher Education Committee was able to work with Ohio’s private and public institutions to roll out the science of reading. I hope to continue this relationship as we strive to make Ohio’s workforce and education system better.”

Young will also serve on the House Financial Institutions, Finance, and Personal Insurance and Pensions committees.
