COLUMBUS—State Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) is pleased to announce that three pieces of legislation from the 135th General Assembly were signed into law by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today.

House Bill 74 will ensure Ohio’s technology infrastructure is best set up to serve all Ohioans, increase accountability, and save taxpayer dollars. The legislation will also improve upon Ohio’s election system by proactivity responding to the state’s need for cybersecurity and fraud prevention, among other provisions.

House Bill 265 will protect Ohio’s first responders by exempting certain sensitive information from disclosure under public records law and clarifying additional information protected under the Ohio Revised Code.

Finally, House Bill 315, the Township Omnibus Bill, will make various law changes to better equip and support Ohio’s township governments, amongst the addition of over 20 bills that had already passed the House.

“I am grateful for the work we were able to accomplish for the good of all Ohioans during the 135th General Assembly and I’m excited for what’s to come,” said Hall. “I look forward to continuing to work on the issues that matter most to my constituents.”

The legislation will take effect in 90 days.
