Terrence Upchurch News

COLUMBUS– State Rep. Terrence Upchurch (D- Cleveland) today announced that the East Side Jobs Fair and Resource Expo originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14 will be postponed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus. Upchurch released the following statement regarding the postponement:

“Due to the continued threat of COVID-19 and, in keeping with guidelines from local, state, and national health officials, I am postponing the East Side Jobs Fair and Resource Expo until a later date. I care very deeply about the economic future and job prospects of individuals in my district as well as across the County. However, our first and foremost concerns mustbe the health and safety of all individuals.

I would like to thank our several partners, including elected officials from the City of Cleveland and U.S. Representative Marcia Fudge, who joined me in sponsoring this event. I would also like to thank the many employers and organizations who reached out in the last few weeks and months to join us in offering jobs and resources to people across the County. I look forward to working with many of them in the future.”

The office of Rep. Upchurch will continue to monitor the guidelines and advice of health officials as this threat is confronted. For further details, questions, or concerns, please call the office at (614) 466-7954.
