Ray Announces $1.2 Million for Infrastructure, Community Housing Grants in Medina County

State Rep. Sharon Ray (R-Wadsworth) announces that a total of $1.2 million has been awarded to Medina County for both a critical infrastructure program and for community housing impact and preservation.
“I’m happy to say these important funds will be used to help uplift our communities and residents by updating our infrastructure and creating adequate community housing for the betterment of families here in Medina County.”
The funding allocations include the following:
- $492,000 - Critical Infrastructure Program – To assist the village of Lodi with the construction of a bridge to combat major flooding issues in Lodi Community Park. The project will construct a new raised bridge with a lane for pedestrians and will benefit 2,750 people.
- $700,000 - Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) - To rehabilitate seven owner-occupied homes, repair 10 owner-occupied homes, provide rental assistance to 10 households and will include a fair housing component. The City of Medina will partner with the City of Brunswick.
Several Ohio communities are being awarded these grants for various improvement projects across the state.
