Sean Brennan (D-Parma) today announced that the Parma City Schools has been awarded more than $4 million for the Career Technical Construction Program grant courtesy the State of Ohio. The Ohio schools selected for the grants were awarded nearly $200 million in total to help expand career technical educational and training facilities to serve more students.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Brennan (D-Parma) today responds to the passing of Ronald Mottl, Senior. Former Congressman Ronald Milton Mottl served as state senator, state representative, Parma councilman, Parma City School Board member, among other offices and untold accomplishments. While serving in the Ohio General Assembly, he championed the bill that led to the creation of the Ohio Lottery. As a result, many referred to him as the Father of the Ohio Lottery. Since its inception, the lottery has raised over $30 billion for public education in Ohio.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Brennan (D-Parma) today announced that the state of Ohio is increasing its funding of annual peace officer continuing professional training (CPT) from 50% to 100% retroactive to January 1, 2023. Over the past two years, this program was operating on a pilot program basis, with a 50% salary reimbursement rate from the state for officers’ time spent in training up to 40 hours.
