COLUMBUS — State Representative Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) showed his support on two pieces of legislation, House Concurrent Resolution 35 and House Bill 178, which passed the Ohio House recently.  

Oftentimes, great bills and policy are overlooked within our state. This is why I wanted to highlight some of the legislation passed this year that was bipartisan and focuses on the diligent work done at the Statehouse on behalf of Ohioans.

COLUMBUS — Today, Representative Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) and the Ohio State Controlling Board approved funding for Stark State College and the Ohio National Guard’s Aviation Support Facility (AASF) located at the Akron-Canton Regional Airport. 

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation recently including protecting quality of care for nurses and patients, the Ohio Veterans’ Heritage Protection Act, creating more paycheck transparency for employees, and improving stroke treatment and care. 

Earlier this week, State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) and the Ohio State Controlling Board approved funding for Stark State College. The allocation includes $124,925 for the Akron Center for Education and Workforce.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation recently including empowering local communities on energy projects, allowing income tax credits for new farmers, and permanent registration for noncommercial trailers.

COLUMBUS – Education reform, meaningful tax relief and investments to help Ohio keep and create jobs are among the highlights of the state budget plan being considered by lawmakers today.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation recently including requiring timely pay for contractors, adoption of certain virtual board meetings, prohibiting PFAS chemicals and expanding educational opportunities for military children.
