Oelslager Highlights Recently Passed Legislation
COLUMBUS—State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) is pleased to announce the recent passage of multiple pieces of legislation.
Each bill is highlighted below:
School Bus Safety Act (90-0): House Bill 3 will update Ohio law to enhance school bus safety.
Require electronic recordings of all parole board hearings (92-0): House Bill 31 will require the electronic recording of parole board hearings and make recordings available to the public by request.
E-Verify Workforce Integrity Act (92-0): Co-sponsored by Oelslager, House Bill 246 will require employers to use the E-Verify program to verify the employment eligibility of new hires.
Support American Legion Buckeye Boys State, Buckeye Girls State (91-0): Co-sponsored by Oelslager, House Concurrent Resolution 7 supports the American Legion Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State for their youth education and leadership programs.
Provide for informational poster on veteran benefits and services (92-0): Co-sponsored by Oelslager, Senate Bill 39 will require the Department of Commerce and the Department of Veterans Services to create an informational veterans’ benefits and services poster to be provided to Ohio employers by request free of charge.
Revise solid waste and construction and demolition debris laws (90-2): Senate Bill 147 will update Ohio law regarding solid waste and construction debris brought into Ohio.
